Earthshaker OG’s Sativa-leaning structure makes it weaker compared to other strains. Moreover, like OG Kush, it is rather susceptible to mold and mildew. Hence, the bud is not exactly the best choice for first-time growers. It is, however, ideal for green thumbs who wish to hone their skills.

Growing the plant outdoors can be quite the challenge. As alluded to earlier, the plant is not sturdy. Its frail branches and thin stalks are easily affected by changes in weather and moisture in the air. For this reason, commercial breeders prefer cultivating Earthshaker OG inside greenhouses or grow rooms. In this way, they can adjust important factors such as lighting and temperature.

One important issue to address while growing Earthshaker OG indoors is its height. At times, the plant can stretch beyond 7 feet and take up too much space indoors. If space is limited, applying techniques like bending and super cropping will keep the plant short and even encourage better yields.

Flowering Time

Indoors

Earthshaker OG has an indoor flowering period of 10 to 12 weeks. Once it blossoms, each square meter should produce about 12 to 16 ounces of buds. To encourage better yields, growers can opt to apply either the Screen or Sea of Green method.

Outdoors

In a well-aerated garden, Earthshaker OG thrives. By the second to third week of October, it yields more than 16 ounces of buds per plant. But, without much sunlight, the flowering period could extend by a week more. Growers end up waiting for the last week instead.
