Pirate cake strain genetics

Originally bred by Tiki Madman (the breeders that brought us the formidable Forbidden Runtz strain), the Pirate Kush marijuana strain combines the superior qualities of its well-known parent strains.  Pirate Cake strain genetics come from a cross between Kush Mints and the famously tasty Wedding Cake. Both strains are known for their sensational flavor profiles and exceptional highs.

Kush Mints is an Animal Mints and Bubba Kush cross. This evenly-balanced hybrid strain packs a punch with a 22-24% THC content and a decadent sweet coffee flavor. It serves up a creative head high that slowly eases you into the classic indica-like body buzz.

The Wedding Cake strain hands down the other half of the Pirate Cake genetic lineage. It’s an Indica-dominant hybrid strain, generally having a 70:30% ratio, supplying a relaxing and calming high while not bowling you over entirely. Derived from the combination of Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) and Cherry Pie, Wedding Cake marijuana is enjoyed the world over and has become the cornerstone of many other dessert strains.

Growing Pirate Cake strain

Pirate Cake strain information is rather limited regarding growing, leaving cultivators to rely on genetic lineage to find what will suit this strain best. Being an indica dominant strain, it likely grows to a medium size with weighty buds. Indicas can grow outdoors but thrive indoors, displaying fantastic resilience to pests and temperature changes.

The Pirate Cake marijuana strain produces rounded light-green buds covered in a generous layer of frosty resin and thick orange hairs. Its sticky nuggets are perfect for resin extraction, making it a great choice for dabbing.

Pirate Cake strain flowering time

The flavor and kick of the Pirate Cake cannabis strain may be quite impressive; however, its flowering time is rather standard, with an average of 8-10 weeks. Outdoor cultivators can expect to harvest in Mid-to-late October. Remember to flush your plants for a few days before harvesting to remove any fertilizers from the plant that may affect the flavor. Pirate Cake strain autoflowering time

The autoflowering version of the Pirate Cake strain, like most autoflowers, starts blooming early. The first buds could appear after four to six weeks since it doesn’t require light deprivation to start the flowering process. The autoflowering Pirate Cake cannabis strain can be harvested after ten to fourteen weeks, making the (auto)flowering time between four and ten weeks long.

Pirate Cake strain yield

The average yield of any cannabis plant depends on several factors, including the skill of the cultivator, growing conditions, strain genetics, and size and health of the plant. It also differs between photoperiod and autoflower plants. However, you can use general estimates as a potential yield per plant guideline. For photoperiod plants, this is generally around 16-64 ounces (450-1814 grams) outdoors and 8-24 ounces (227-680 grams) indoors.

Pirate Cake strain autoflower yield

The potential yield per plant for autoflowering plants is 1.7-7 ounces (50-200 grams) outdoors and 1.7-4.2 ounces (50-120 grams) indoors.

Aroma & Flavor.

Commended across many online Pirate Cake strain reviews for its sweet and piney, citrus aroma, the Pirate Cake strain will have you dreaming of days spent in a hammock on a Caribbean beach. Notes of sour tropical fruit and fresh berries meet sweet vanilla and earthy pine into one flavorful smoke. The strain features a gassy kick on the exhale inherited from its Wedding Cake parent strain and a hint of sweet cereal to top it off.

With an impressive aroma profile like that, it leads us to believe (but can’t fully verify until we see the terpene analysis) that the main terpene profile of this chemovar is dominated by the terpenes Alpha-Pinene, Limonene, and possibly Terpinolene.
